Durham College and Ontario Tech University combine their administrative records in the Banner System, provided by SunGard HE. Banner is a software application developed specifically for higher education institutions. Banner maintains student, financial, and human resources data. It consists of four integrated systems:
  • Finance
  • Student
  • Human Resources
  • General
The Banner system is a highly integrated database. It is shared by everyone who uses Banner, which makes it easy to maintain records on someone who applies to the College and the University, becomes a student, graduates, and then becomes an alumnus.
A web interface provides self-service access for students, faculty and staff.
Underlying technologies are Sun Solaris 10, Oracle 10g, and Application Server.

Banner's modules support Admission, Registration, Student Records, Finance, and Human Resources. An employee who needs access to Banner should contact his supervisor.

Banner Self Service
Banner Self Service provides secure access to personal records for students, faculty and staff. Students check grades and schedules and register online. Faculty can view their teaching schedules, enter grades and see information about their advisees. These services are access through the Administrative Services link in our portal MyCampus.

MyCampus is a web-based portal for students, faculty, administrators, staff and alumni to access campus resources and information. It allows users a central point of access to multiple systems and links to a wide range of resources.
MyCampus is integrated with Banner, our Student Information System and WebCT Vista, our Learning Management System and enables students to seamlessly perform functions such as: register online, check grades, access their schedules and courses, communicate with their professors and other students, purchase books online and link to a variety of resources such as bus routes and student associations functions.
MyCampus allows faculty to access schedules, post marks and manage their courses. It was developed to centralize, manage and simplify online processes for everyone on campus - students, faculty, alumni and staff.
MyCampus is developed using SunGard HE Luminis Platform III.
